The Pro motorcycle Group was founded by John Peterson in 1996 with the purchase of Pro Honda at Rocklea, in Brisbane's west.

John Peterson teamed up with his son, Paul Peterson in 2001 and together they took Pro Honda from a respectable, mid-sized dealership to one of Australia 's leading Honda motorcycle dealerships achieving the honour of becoming the No.1 Honda spare-parts store in Queensland.

John and Paul have since expanded the group to include Griffin Motorcycles, Pro Yamaha ( Australia 's No.1 Yamaha dealer 2003-4 as Star Yamaha), Pro Kawasaki (Australia's No.1 Kawasaki dealer 1999-2003 as Whale's Kawasaki), Pro Honda Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Kawasaki.

Pro Motorcycles is one of the few Dealership Groups in the country that is licensed to sell, service and represent the big four motorcycle manufacturers – Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and KTM.
